ENCHILAI Organization
A welcoming place to restore, learn, and live in balance, with care for people, community, and the Earth. We work with women, the youths and communities in rural Kajiado County, Kenya, to support mental well-being, build practical skills, and break the stigma around mental health. Together, we’re creating a future rooted in resilience, dignity, and connection." The name Enchilai, is a Maasai word meaning clear, pure, purified, or transparent. Enchilai is more than a name: it reflects our hope for communities that are mentally strong & socially just. It symbolizes our commitment to transparent work, and reflects our belief that mental healthcare should be a basic part of every community, not a privilege for a few.

In Kajiado County, rural communities face three overlapping challenges: limited access to mental health care, lack of equity and opportunity—especially for women and youth—and climate change disrupting livelihoods.
