She is a dedicated Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Specialist with over 10 years of hands-on experience in Mental health programming and overall program management, with a track record in providing high-quality counseling services to diverse populations, including children, families, and survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), minority groups and trauma-affected populations. She is also adept at working with populations in emergency settings having worked with girls and young women separated by war and conflict. Expert in designing and implementing trauma-informed care approaches and psychosocial programs that promote healing and resilience. Highly skilled in developing and managing mental health initiatives, from strategic planning and mobilization to reporting and evaluation. Experienced in collaborating with governmental agencies, NGOs, and community organizations to enhance project effectiveness and ensure comprehensive support for beneficiaries.

Nicole Kalkman

Nicole Kalkman is passionate about youth development, education and mental health. She brings over nine years of experience in programme management, partnerships, fundraising and business development across East Africa, the Netherlands and the UK. Her interest in mental health in Maasai communities began during her work with a community health organisation in Tanzania in 2016. Nicole holds a BA in Political Science and an MSc in African Politics and has worked across the NGO, social enterprise and private sectors. As a Board Member of Enchilai, she volunteers her expertise in programme management, partnerships and fundraising to support the organisation’s growth and impact.

Treasurer
An excellent humanitarian and development professional with extensive hands-on experience in Program management, budget and grants management, fundraising, managing program operations. Adept at M&E for programs focusing on sustainable human development. A holder of Master of Art Degree in Gender & Development Studies, A Bachelor of Arts Degree in sustainable Human Development and pursuing Interdisciplinary Certificate in Humanitarian Assistance from Boston College. Currently coordinating programming, planning, fundraising and grants for Eastern & southern Africa Region.

Board member.
Currently a project manager at the Ministry of Environment Climate and Forestry.
He is engaged at Implementaion of the Chemicals and Waste Multilateral Environmental Agreements that Kenya has ratified. He is among the negotiaters at the National, regional and Internatiinal level.
Previously he was engaged in alcohol control as a risk factor to Noncommunicable diseases as well as Mental Health prevention.
